Love this piece! And I can relate to the impending empty nest. I still have a 10th grader, so a few more years, but I am already feeling it!

Thanks, Samantha, that means a lot.

We still have a 9th grader as well but what a change after always having a bustling house of four kids... and now down to one. And it will go so fast!

I love the "look again" nature of this post! When I first saw your artistic rendering, I assumed the character was heading toward the narrowing path and was delighted by the invitation to look again and consider the narrowed path in the rearview. The narrowing is always gonna be one direction or another along this journey, isn't it!?! Your post immediately brought to my mind the "spacious place" of Psalm 31:7-8, and I'm still thinking on that.....

Always, my thanks for sharing your work here!!

I'm thankful we get the chance to look again at the paths in front of us. Even if some things about the near future are fixed in place for both us, we still have choices on our perspective. I love the connection you made to the verse. Even saying the words "spacious place" make me breathe a little easier.

Thanks for always encouraging me. I'm ready to cheer you on right back!
