Thank you so much for sharing. I relate a lot to this while going through my own seasons of loss. (Although, I will say, the pic of the severed field still looks beautiful. That blue sky! Maybe there is still some beauty to be found in seasons of loss and change.)
Thanks for reading, Sarah and you make a very true point. Even as I remembered times of loss for this newsletter, I was thinking of how God has brought many beautiful things into my life either during change and loss or sometime long after, when my heart began to heal from hurt.
It helps to have forty-six years of that under my belt and encourages me to trust when my eyes can only see the brown mulch instead of the blue sky (and oh how I love a blue sky). I also know that most likely those fields will grow back again next summer, so that's something to look forward to.
May grace be with you during your own season of loss and also beauty--at just the right time.
Beautiful words, my friend.
Thank you, and thankful for you.

I would have been devastated to see those fields mowed down, too. Ugh.
And thank you for sharing from The Foundry. 🖤
Thanks for feeling the devastation of that moment with me. It honestly helps, you know?
Loved your whole post this week, I hope it can find a few new readers by posting it my newsletter.
