Thank you! My daughter went to L'Orangerie when she was over there. She showed me some photos and videos of that exhibit, she said it made her tear up.
I watched a lot of videos and read a lot about French customs before we went over because my daughter really wanted to blend in since she was heading over there to live. But there was still so much to learn when we got there.
I had to laugh when I walked up to the help desk at the museum and before I even spoke a word the man behind the desk addressed me in English. So much for blending in.
Happy Birthday! Thanks for sharing these! I miss traveling so very much. We went to Musee d’Orsay instead of the Louvre as well. No regrets. But I’d love to go back. 😊
Thanks, Lauren. It definitely gave us the itch to experience some more travel adventures. I loved the d'Orsay and I'd love to go back some day and do the Louvre. Do you have a favorite place that you've traveled? Or a place you most long to visit?
We got to travel in Europe quite a bit when we lived in Czech Republic, but there’s always so much more to see! I’d love to see more of Italy and Spain. Rome was absolutely awe-inspiring. We never made it to Ireland or Scotland so those are still on my list along with a million other places. 😆
Ireland and Scotland are definitely on my list! I'm pretty sure there is a coast in Spain that could be my permanent home. I think there is a good chance our daughter who lived in France for a year is not going to stay put in the States long (based on words straight from her mouth), so we will be looking for ways to stay connected to her. Which might just have to include travel...
Thanks, friend. It was nice to pull out these memories and give them a little breath and life again. Or give myself a little breath and life again. Or both.

Mom.
Happy birthday, Amy! 🎈 Fun memories, and beautiful art as always!
Thank you, Linda!
Such a wonderful birthday! Thanks for sharing with us. (and thanks for the tip about the espresso—I had no idea ha!)
Thanks for reading, Sarah.
