Funny, I just had a conversation with my youngest (adult) son about New Year's resolutions. He doesn't bother with them, and I told him I just "mull over goals" without calling them resolutions. Being a no nonsense kind of guy, he informed me that I'm essentially setting resolutions ... haha. I do love both this time of year, as well as September, for a sense of reflection and new possibilities. It's very inspiring to read about your approach to New Year's ... I just printed out the Year Compass (which I'd never heard of before) and I think I'll go to a coffee shop tomorrow to spend time with it.
I love the grace and curiosity in the phrase you used: "new possibilities". It leaves the space ahead of us this next year open instead closed.
I hope you get some inspiration from time spent with the Year Compass and a hot drink!
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Little celebrations are sometimes better than the big ones and that video feels like a little mini-celebration.🥳
Love this! I’ve come to find, at least in this stage of life, my review takes the better part of January once life really settles into a normal routine post holidays… so I’m still in process! Love some of these ideas!!
You made beauty this year. Thanks for sharing with us. 💜
Thank you friend and thank you for your steadfast friendship and encouragement, both in day to day life and in our creative pursuits!

Oh I love the idea to add stickers + photos to the empty spots in your 5 Year journal. Brilliant!
Thanks, I'm excited, too! Do you keep a five year journal?
I have one for quotes and there are lots of empty spaces. So your elegant solution is especially attractive!
Ooh I need to check out that article about a new year’s imperative!
