I spot the chicken! and of course I love this post all the way through! let's chat about your point - "creativity is a healing force, tapping something bigger than the moment at hand"!!
(and, of course, thanks for the shout-out. and for pointing me down the Carla Sonheim collage trail. what a tremendous gift that has been)
Thanks! Hope the journaling leads down an interesting path. I love how different the answers could be for each person or even in different seasons of life.
I love the idea of going on art dates. I live just a few minutes from one of the very best art museums in the country (here in the US) -- I should visit it more often!
I'm not sure why it took us so long to come up with the idea but I'm glad we did. I plan to do some on my own as well but I also like the idea of sharing them with a friend, to be able to discuss the art we see and also to encourage each other to try out new things. My thought is-food can be art, too, right? So maybe we can try out some interesting food experiences as well.
Thanks, friend. At first I thought: is she calling my bird a chicken? And then I found the chicken. Looking for chickens is your version of Where’s Waldo. 🐓

All the colors in those sketches!! LOVE! I’m going to take that prompt too to my journal.

Aimee, this is a wonder to behold! Thanks for showing us your process.
Thanks, Jody, and thanks for the inspiration this week, too!
Wonderful post! Creativity is so many things!
Thanks, Pamela! And yes it is, so many more things than just the few I listed here.
I love your white bird with the colorful wings. It is happy and other worldly!
Great post! I’m going to check out some of your recommendations while I’m recovering.
Thanks, friend. May your recovery be swift and full of good books and shows.
