Than you for sharing these! Seeing someone else’s ideas and process makes it much easier to try something when staring at a blank page!

What a beautiful personal journey. Thank you for sharing it.

I’m struggling a lot right now with anything creative. A move right before Christmas and a longer than usual health crisis have me paring back to just surviving. Your words here inspire me and remind me that there will be a new season when I will be able to create.

Delightful! I'm currently trying to figure out some quick easy daily art I can pull off without a lot of supplies or space needed for the 100 days project. We are traveling out of the country at the end of it and I don't want to have to lug along a lot of extras to get it done, nor take a lot of time to do. Between homeschooling, general responsibilities, and travel, I can't devote a lot of time to it but I really want to participate! Wish I could have enough time to do a deep dive like you took us through so well.

Thanks Brooke!

I love that you are still reaching for an idea to make the project possible in the midst of life. My first thought is "small". What type of medium do you think you'll use?

There's an artist on Substack names Estee Zales who shared a calendar with a collage on square (or it could be a drawing/painting instead). https://journalrash.substack.com/p/june-in-reviewI loved the idea. (if that's has a paywall, here's her note: https://substack.com/@esteezales/note/c-184807860?r=e9xrs&utm_source=notes-share-action&utm_medium=web).

It's similar to something I tried and shared in this post (tiny drawing on each day on a pre-prepped page): https://aimeeguest.substack.com/p/goodbye-march-hello-april

I hope you find something that works for you. I've never done a 100 day project, just 30.

Oooo, thanks for the links and suggestions!

I think my overall issue is that my most-favored medium is large-scale wood and latex paint, and I can't very well transport that nor work with it very quickly. I don't sketch or draw or watercolor or anything very well AT ALL so... this leaves me feeling kind of stuck.

Now that IS a challenge! Do you post any of your work on your Substack? I'd love to see what it looks like.

My only thought is that you might get A LOT better at any of those other mediums that you mentioned if you do them for 100 days! But you have to find the thing that draws you in and I believe you will!

I don't, but you can view some here: pineandprints.wordpress.com

What you say could be true, but I really feel artistically challenged in just about every medium though I love being creative! It just comes out in these wood projects, journaling, photography, design & layout, etc.

I really enjoyed watching this process unfold. I’m not too familiar with linocut, but what you created with your self-portrait is precious! This month, I’ve been creating much more than I did in all of 2025… a little sketch here, cutting up paper and gluing it there… none of it seems to serve any real “purpose,” and I suppose there’s something lovely in that when life feels otherwise so to-do-list oriented. It’s nice to just play!

What a wonderful report Erika! More creating + play. I hope you'll share some of your art on your substack.👀

Shannon, I’m so glad I could encourage you even a little bit.

A move before Christmas and an extended health crisis sound like the perfect storm to slow everything else to a halt. I hear your heart and I know you’ll find your way back to your creative practices, even it’s just in the smallest doses…I hope you feel better soon!
